A series of xbox 360 dashboard pictures have been circulating, some of which has been taken down at the request of Microsoft. The images below may or may not be the new dashboard update and if it is then a date release is still unknown.
Looks like a new 360 just got announced,
according to the announcer at E3 it costs the same and is being delivered to
stores now. What's that weird port on the back for though??

Just a quick reminder for everyone, according to Major Nelson's (Director of Programming at Xbox Live) Twitter, the Halo Reach BETA will go live around late morning in the Pacific which makes it any time between 5pm and 7pm for us. Remember you will need the Halo 3 ODST disc and the link to the BETA can be accessed through the menu.
"One
more time: The Halo: Reach beta is expected it to go live Monday (May
3rd) in the early evening (GMT)/late afternoon (ET)/late am (PT)"
Microsoft is allegedly preparing to implement Live functionality into
the free suite of games that comes with all Windows-enabled PCs: Solitaire, Chess, Checkers, Spades, Hearts, Backgammon, Minesweeper, Purple Place, Spider Solitaire and Freecell. This tip comes courtesy of our trusted source (who accurately predicted Lucidity, NBA 2K10 Draft Combine and Tecmo Bowl: Throwback).
Reportedly, each Windows game will not only get Achievements, but also
chat and leaderboard support. While unconfirmed by our source, we'd
anticipate this to be a free update.
Right on schedule, Microsoft has introduced support for USB memory devices on its Xbox 360 console.
The added feature, available now via a mandatory system update,
allows users to attach a USB-based storage device for easy memory
expansion.
The storage can be used to store gamer profiles, saved games, demos
and a variety of content from Xbox Live Marketplace, and will come as a
welcome solution to users who have struggled to justify the costs
associated with Microsoft's proprietary Xbox 360 hard drives.
Both USB hard drives and USB Flash drives are supported via the
update - but Microsoft encourages users to make use of the latter,
adding that Flash-based media is "going to give you a much better
experience".
Sounds like a mighty useful feature, and though it is, there are a
few provisos to be aware of. At present, a single USB-attached drive is
limited to a maximum capacity of 16GB. Though, it is possible to attach
two drives to create a total storage capacity of 32GB.
What's useful is that Microsoft has also revamped the memory
management area of the Xbox 360 dashboard, making it easier for users
to choose which content is stored on each specific drive.
In order to take advantage of the new feature, get the Xbox Live
update and then head to System Settings, Memory, USB Device and
Configure Now. On doing so, the console will check to ensure your drive
is up to scratch and then format it accordingly.
