From the new specs you can see the PSU has been cut by 15W, standby consumption is down and there's ONLY a GREEN light on the front of the 360.

Live support to be added?

Microsoft is allegedly preparing to implement Live functionality into the free suite of games that comes with all Windows-enabled PCs: Solitaire, Chess, Checkers, Spades, Hearts, Backgammon, Minesweeper, Purple Place, Spider Solitaire and Freecell. This tip comes courtesy of our trusted source (who accurately predicted Lucidity, NBA 2K10 Draft Combine and Tecmo Bowl: Throwback). Reportedly, each Windows game will not only get Achievements, but also chat and leaderboard support. While unconfirmed by our source, we'd anticipate this to be a free update.
]]>The added feature, available now via a mandatory system update, allows users to attach a USB-based storage device for easy memory expansion.

The storage can be used to store gamer profiles, saved games, demos and a variety of content from Xbox Live Marketplace, and will come as a welcome solution to users who have struggled to justify the costs associated with Microsoft's proprietary Xbox 360 hard drives.
Both USB hard drives and USB Flash drives are supported via the update - but Microsoft encourages users to make use of the latter, adding that Flash-based media is "going to give you a much better experience".
Sounds like a mighty useful feature, and though it is, there are a few provisos to be aware of. At present, a single USB-attached drive is limited to a maximum capacity of 16GB. Though, it is possible to attach two drives to create a total storage capacity of 32GB.
What's useful is that Microsoft has also revamped the memory management area of the Xbox 360 dashboard, making it easier for users to choose which content is stored on each specific drive.
In order to take advantage of the new feature, get the Xbox Live update and then head to System Settings, Memory, USB Device and Configure Now. On doing so, the console will check to ensure your drive is up to scratch and then format it accordingly.

An image of what is believed to be a forthcoming Xbox 360 chipset revision has been leaked onto the Internet.
The board, pictured below, is said to be the successor to the current chipset - codenamed Jasper - and features both the Xbox 360 GPU and CPU on a single die.

The combination of the two is believed to have been made possible by a die shrink, presumably to 45nm.

Thought to be codenamed Valhalla, the chipset appears to be a drastic redesign from current Xbox 360 boards. The Valhalla PCB (printed circuit board) appears to be smaller than all previous iterations, and a shuffle of I/O port positioning suggests that the board will surface in a new Xbox 360 chassis.
It could just as easily be an early prototype - or even a fake - but speculation regarding the fabled Xbox 360 Slim is now likely to pick up pace.
Judging by the image, it seems Microsoft's process shrink could pave the way for multiple developments. We could see a smaller, trimmed-down Xbox 360 console ala the PlayStation 3 Slim, or we could see Microsoft retain its current chassis and squeeze external components into its existing design - the power supply comes to mind.
Looking ahead, the introduction of a new Xbox 360 model could be timed to debut alongside Project Natal late in 2010. Conjecturing somewhat, could Microsoft be developing a console with Natal built in? It isn't outside the realms of possibility, we reckon.

An image has sprung up on the Internet apparently showing, what appears to be, a new Xbox 360 dashboard update.
The image doesn’t show what the new update will look like (if this is real), but it does show a new version number under “Current Settings”.
It’s been said the new version number came to be after the owner of the console sent back the Xbox 360 for repairs at Microsoft. It appears that Microsoft made a mistake somewhere during the process.
It’s also been rumoured that Microsoft are literally scrambling to find the console they sent back.
